Clean streets require poop bags and Olive Poop Bags, made naturally from GMO-free corn starch and vegetable oil, are certified 100% biodegradable and compost in as little as 40 days.
Poop and parcel can be buried for micro-organisms to consume or combined with yard waste for curbside collection in communities that compost biodegradable waste.

We don’t have a cat (Jasper would oppose), but if we did we would most definitely own a Modkat litter box.
ModKat took home the Editor’s Award for Best Accessory at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and for good reason. ModKat goes into production in June and will available for sale in late August.
Everything from [...]

For advice on cleaning air indoors, read clearing the air in a piece that we missed a week ago in NYT’s Home Section.

The New York Times roadtests window cleaners in an article from last Thursday’s Home Section.

Clean+istry is a sucker for a good mission statement. Here’s Rebel Green’s:

Is it just us or has Swine Flu got you thinking about all the things you’d rather not touch? For instance, to avoid turning on a kitchen faucet with dirty hands, requiring us to clean the handle later on, would be nice. And there’s nothing more unsanitary than touching a bathroom faucet after, well, you [...]

Today we are prompted to modify an existing post on wiping the bathroom tiles from 2007 after reading a NYT’s piece about preventing and eradicating mold in the bathroom.
Clean+istry dislikes cleaning bathroom tile, and the grout in between, after it has become dirty and discolored. The task is difficult and the results rarely satisfy. Of course [...]

And now for our earth day guilt trip. Did you know that it takes an average of 27 gallons of water to wash a load of dishes by hand but only 5 gallons to wash the same size load in a modern dishwasher?
Electrolux used U.S. Department of Energy findings and consumer research to create an [...]
