Is the multi-layer toilet seat clever or not?

The only thing we can offer is that with the need arisin’ shuffling through tabs to get to your seat could be a critical time waster.  via freshome.com.

bath open shelving

May 27th, 2009

Remodelista has a beautiful spread on bath open shelving.  Because bathrooms tend to be humid, closets should be kept to a minimum or avoided altogether.  Never store medications or any items susceptible to moisture in a bath.  Keep it simple:  towels, toiletries and a good loofah.

Conclusion:  open shelving in the bath is not only beautiful, [...]

black is the new white

May 13th, 2009

Is black the new white in bath design? (More importantly, has anyone told ‘white’?)  Maybe according to an LATimes recap of the annual Kitchen/Bath Industry Show.

things you’d rather not touch

April 29th, 2009

Is it just us or has Swine Flu got you thinking about all the things you’d rather not touch?  For instance, to avoid turning on a kitchen faucet with dirty hands, requiring us to clean the handle later on, would be nice.  And there’s nothing more unsanitary than touching a bathroom faucet after, well, you [...]

wiping the bathroom tiles

April 24th, 2009

Today we are prompted to modify an existing post on wiping the bathroom tiles from 2007 after reading a NYT’s piece about preventing and eradicating mold in the bathroom.

Clean+istry dislikes cleaning bathroom tile, and the grout in between, after it has become dirty and discolored. The task is difficult and the results rarely satisfy.  Of course [...]
