March 31st, 2008

(o.c.d. sunday (posted on monday): a series of small cleaning tasks that upon completion say “I am better than you.”)

Clean-up is easy (there’s that word again) for most professional grade open-burner gas ranges. Warm soapy water and a sponge usually does the trick without the need to use anything more abrasive.
The 36” Open [...]

March 27th, 2008

Remodelista (masterfully) reviews front-loading dishwashwers. This is a must read if you are remotely near a dishwasher decision. Or not. It’s a great read.
Clean+istry particularly loves the Miele Inspira Series with (optional) cutlery tray. We have one. It just makes sense.

raycop antibacterial vac

March 26th, 2008

Previously, Clean+istry warned you of the need to vacuum your mattress. Today, we come bearing more ominous warnings:

Fact One: We spend a third of our lives in bed, yet apart from laundering our sheets we spend little time cleaning it.
Fact Two: According to Raycop, the average British Bed contains between 1.5 and [...]

spring-cleaning: home office

March 26th, 2008

Clean+istry is filing its taxes today, a perfect reminder to clean and review our files for the new year. It’s time to toss old insurance policies and shift historical tax filings (our accountant recommends retaining the past seven years).
Clean+istry is not an organizing professional (a bulging file of past bank statements is proof of [...]
